Poem : My Dreamy Reality

After a long vacation from poem writing, i wrote this, for my dearest Wong Chee Mun, my lovely girl, who has always been there for me. Friend, lover, confidant, you are everything i could ever dream or wish for, and you are more than anything i could ever hope for. I love you, and i want you to know i meant every word of it, from the bottom of my heart, from the core of my soul.

My Dreamy Reality

You can lay down here beside me,

As i wrap myself around you,

Rest if you will your weary eyes,

But tell me not,

To do so too.

You can drift away if you must,

Smile and smell the sandman's dust,

You may dream your wildest fantasy,

But lock me in this moment,

And throw away the key.

For all old dreams of riches,

Falters before the wealth i possess,

Of having this woman in my arms,

An angel from the highest heaven,

A maiden of royal noblesse.

As seconds seem like hours,

And hours seem like days

How could i wish for sleep,

When i can bask in your gaze.

When my arms wrap around,

You drown out all affliction,

How could i ever have enough of you,

My little sweet addiction.

Your voice is the sweetest song,

Your breath the refreshing breeze,

Your caresses the reassuring touch,

That sets my mind at ease.

Your scent stirs my soul,

More than the freshest rose,

But while the rose may wilt and die,

My love for you grows.

Your laugh is my reason for smiling,

Even as your smile makes me laugh,

If i ever had a reason for living,

Its for u my better half.

So kiss me not good night,

Sweet dreams and all that's due,

for no dream could be sweeter than,

Reality here with you.
